POSITION TITLE: Sanitation Worker
STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION: Brampton – Poultry processing plant, Brampton, Ontario, CA
Position:
SANITATION WORKER
Reporting to:
Sanitation Supervisor
Status/Shift:
Night (10:30pm to 6:30am) – Monday to Friday
Weekend: 12 hours per day Saturday and Sunday
Hours Worked per Week:
40 hours
Salary:
$16.27 As Per Collective Agreement (90.4% of $18.00)
$0.60 shift premium per hour in addition
Responsible for sanitizing assigned areas up to Company and industrial standards; and the handling, use and application of sanitation chemicals.
JOB DUTIES AND TASKS
Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Ensure that all work is performed according to pertinent GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA, Safety and all established regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Ensure that all work is performed according to pertinent GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA and all other established regulations
Clean and wash walls, floors, doors, machinery, equipment and supplies as assigned depending on area
Ensure that work station is left clean for production to start on time
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Experience within the food industry is an asset but not essential
Ability to lift 25 kgs +
Ability to work independently or as a team
Wet / cold work environment
Work around, under and above equipment
Unionized position (UFCW175)
