Full-Time Truck Driver-supervisor in Saskatoon
Job Description
Plan and supervise the shipments from production to the end-user
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of truck drivers.
Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other
departments.
Dispatch drivers and monitor routes to ensure schedules are met and to resolve operating
problems
Monitor and report on transportation costs
Help in the process of hiring, promotions and performance incentives
Ensure Shipping documents are properly files
Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment
Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods
Conduct regular safety audits on equipment
Organize training sessions for employees on proper use of machines
Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
Stay up-to-date with safety regulations
